OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Four Democratic state House members who used campaign money to buy tickets to a fund-raiser with a former Democratic vice presidential candidate may have violated state law.
The state Ethics Commission says state law doesn't allow candidates to give campaign funds to political action committees.
State Representatives Danny Morgan, Lucky Lamons, John Carey and Ben Sherrer each spent five-thousand dollars from the campaign accounts to buy tickets to a fund-raiser featuring John Edwards. Edwards was the Democratic vice presidential candidate on the ticket with John Kerry in 2004.
The event was sponsored by a political action committee known as WIN PAC.
Ethics Commission Director Marilyn Hughes says the commission will be investigating.
