WOODWARD, Okla. (AP) -- The mother of a Woodward boy who disappeared in June 2002 could go on trial for murder as soon as early next year.
Katherine Rutan is charged with first-degree murder in the disappearance of her son -- Logan Tucker. The boy was 6 when he disappeared nearly two-and-a-half years ago and authorities believe he's dead.
Rutan was formally arraigned on the murder charge in Woodward County District Court yesterday. She's to return to court December 28th for her last court appearance before trial.
Logan Tucker was last seen June 23rd, 2002, and investigators have conducted several searches but his body has not been found.
