OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- State labor commissioner candidate Lloyd Fields says he was so busy campaigning that he missed a deadline for filing campaign finance reports.

Monday was the last day for candidates in the November 7th general election to file campaign finance information without facing a mandatory $100-a-day fine.

The Oklahoma Ethic's Commission's Web site indicated Fields' report hadn't been filed by Tuesday evening.

Fields -- Democrat -- is challenging Republican Commissioner of Labor Brenda Reneau in the general election.

Fields' report for the July 11th through August seventh period indicated he'd raised more than $39,000 and spent nearly $36,400 on the campaign.

Reneau's campaign finance report shows she has raised $142,381 for her re-election campaign and spent $118,709.

Fields says he expected to have his reports in by Wednesday.
