KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Freshman quarterback Colt McCoy of Texas, Oklahoma State defensive end Nate Peterson and Kansas State linebacker Brandon Archer were named offensive, defensive and special teams players of the week.
It's the 2nd week in a row the offensive nod has gone to McCoy. He threw for 256 yards and four touchdowns in the come-from-behind win over Texas Tech.
Three of Peterson's four tackles were for losses in OSU's 41-29 upset of # 20 Nebraska. He also recovered a fumble and returned it 19 yards for a T-D.
Archer recovered a muffed punt to set up a game-tying touchdown in Kansas State's 31-10 win over Iowa State.
