Funeral Held For Victim In Fatal Okmulgee Fire

A young fire victim was remembered Friday.

Funeral services were Friday afternoon for 4-year-old Gracie Mathews-Tiger. She died on Monday when her family's Okmulgee home caught fire. Her mother and young siblings barely escaped.

Okmulgee Fire officials say Gracie's mother and some bystanders tried to return to the house to rescue Gracie, but were not successful.

Services were held at the Arbeka Indian Baptist Church in Bryant.
