WELLS, Nev. (AP) -- A truck carrying bombs from the McAlester Army Ammunition Depot caught fire on Interstate 80 in northeast Nevada Wednesday forcing the closing of the interstate for nearly two hours.

No injuries are reported.

The Nevada Highway Patrol says the semi carrying 38,000 pounds of 100-pound bombs was en route to Hawthorne in southwest Nevada when a brake drum caught fire.

Truck driver Gary Woodlee of Fort Towson says the drum caught fire after he ran over debris in the roadway near the town of Wells, Nevada.

Woodlee quickly put out the fire and troopers say the bombs didn't get hot, but a bomb squad and other authorities shut down I-80 before allowing the shipment to continue.
