SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) _ The New Orleans Hornets close out pre-season play with a game at Sacramento tonight.

The Hornets will be playing the same Kings team that beat them 117-to-93 Sunday and forward Desmond Mason says it's time for the Hornets to come together and play much better defense.

The Hornets open regular season play next Wednesday at Boston. Their home opener in New Orleans is November fifth against Houston and the Oklahoma City home opener is November seventh against Golden State.

The Hornets are to play 35 home games in Oklahoma City this year and six in New Orleans.
