McALESTER, Okla. (AP) -- A rain-soaked highway is being blamed for the death of a 35-year-old motorist in Pittsburg County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Kelly Foster Power of McAlester was pronounced dead at the scene of Sunday's collision on Oklahoma Highway 31 near Blocker.
Troopers say Power's pickup truck was northbound when the crash occurred at 3:25 PM. The patrol says the pickup hydroplaned during a rainstorm, running off the wet highway and overturning, coming to rest on its top.
Troopers say Power was pinned in the wreckage for about 45 minutes.
