NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma basketball coach Jeff Capel will finally get to start working with his team tomorrow.
Capel was hired this spring to succeed Kelvin Sampson and until now has been limited to individual workouts with players and an occasional brief workout with the team.
But starting at 7 tomorrow he'll start putting together his Sooners and try to continue a streak of 25 consecutive years of OU reaching post-season play.
Capel faces the challenge of replacing seniors Taj Gray, Kevin Bookout and Terrell Everett who provide more than half of OU's points last year. He says he has no idea who the starting five will be but says that's not as important as finding out which players will have a chance to play.
Tomorrow's practice will be low-key but OU is inviting fans to the Baseline Bash with the women's team.
OU's first exhibition game will be October 31st against Oklahoma Christian.
