A Sand Springs school was put on lockdown for a short time Thursday morning.

Officials at Charles Page High School called Sand Springs Police and locked down the school after a student's mother called, believing her son had a gun on campus.

The boy was found and searched. He did not have a weapon.

The false alarm delayed classes and activities for about 10 minutes.
