HARTSHORNE, Okla. (AP) -- A 2-year-old girl was killed when she was struck by a car driven by her father in Pittsburg County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Janie Jo Bigham was pronounced dead at the scene of Sunday's accident eight miles north of Hartshorne.

The patrol says the accident occurred at 5:42 PM on private property. Troopers say the little girl was outside when her father, 25-year-old Joedan Bigham of Hartshorne, pulled his car forward and struck her.
