NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ The Oklahoma women's basketball team is ranked third in a pre-season poll by Street and Smith's magazine.

OU has five starters back from last season's team that made it to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA women's tournament and have added two McDonald's High School All-Americans to the team.

OU sophomore Courtney Paris was named to the magazine's ``Terrific Ten'' while another player in the state _ Jillian Robbins of Tulsa _ is an honorable mention.

Maryland is Number One in the poll and North Carolina is second followed by O-U, Stanford and Tennessee.
