STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- State environmental officials are trying to figure out what killed about 1,000 fish in a small pond in Stillwater.
The fish were found floating along the banks of the pond near Lakeside Golf Course.
The pond is not a water supply but is near Boomer Lake -- which is used to supply drinking water.
Department of Environmental Quality spokeswoman Monty Elder says water from the pond is being tested for pesticides or other contaminants and the results may not be known for several days.
