OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Many small Oklahoma livestock producers will get less than $100 from the $6.5-million in federal grant money for drought-damaged farms and ranches.

Agriculture secretary Terry Peach said producers will have until November 20th to apply for the grant money.

Payments will only be made based only on animals owned as of March 7th under U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines.

Peach said the federal aid is appreciated, but is not nearly enough to cover losses of livestock producers in Oklahoma and elsewhere.
