DENVER (AP) _ Former Stillwater High School baseball star Matt Holliday hit a grand slam to help the Colorado Rockies rally for a 9-to-8 win over Atlanta on Vinny Castilla Day at Coors Field in Denver.
The Braves led 7-0 in the fourth but the Rockies cut it to 7-to-6 after a home run from Jeff Baker and Holliday's grand slam.
Pinch-hitter Brad Hawpe's two-run homer off Tyler Yates in the eighth put the Rockies in front 9-to-8.
The 39-year-old Castilla returned to the Rockies for a third time so he could retire with the team. He's the all-time leader among Mexican-born players in home runs, RBI's, doubles and hits.
