UNDATED (AP) -- Authorities say two men die in separate single-vehicle accidents on Oklahoma roads.
Near Elgin, 55-year-old Earl -D- Perkins was killed just before 3 PM Saturday when his pickup truck ran off a Comanche County road, struck a mailbox and went into a broad slide before rolling once.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the impact threw the Marlow resident out of the vehicle. Perkins -- whom troopers say wasn't wearing a seat belt -- was pronounced dead of head and internal injuries at a Lawton hospital.
Around noon, Evodio Leon-Mora died when his pickup failed to negotiate a curve on US Highway 59, ran off the road about 276 feet and entered the roadway again. Troopers say the truck overturned once and began to overturn again when it struck two trees.
The 33-year-old Leon-Mora was thrown about eight feet from the wreckage. He was pronounced dead of head injuries at the scene of the accident.
The patrol says he wasn't wearing a seat belt.
