The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma got a new home Thursday.
The Donald W. Reynolds Food Distribution Center was formally dedicated Thursday. The 78,000 square foot building is nearly three times larger than the food bank's former home.
The $13-million facility was largely funded by a grant of more than $10-million from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.
Steve Anderson with the foundation: "Part of the grant, not only paid for this facility, but paid for rolling stock and freezers and equipment so that they can distribute food more efficiently to smaller organizations."
With this new building, the Food Bank will be able to double its total distribution.
