IRVING, Texas (AP) _ A lot will be on the line Sunday for the Redskins as they look to avoid an 0-and-2 start by beating their arch-rivals the Dallas Cowboys.

Washington will need more out of its offense and defense if they're going to bounce back from a 19-to-16 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in week one.

In that game, the Redskins gained just 266 yards and let the Vikings convert on a number of third downs.

A big challenge for Washington's defense will stopping Dallas wideouts Terrell Owens and Terry Glenn, especially if starting cornerback Shawn Springs doesn't play again this week.

Washington's only touchdown against the Vikings came from running back Clinton Portis, who was essentially ruled out by coach Joe Gibbs earlier in the week.

Portis injured his shoulder in Washington's first exhibition game and sat out the rest of the preseason.
