OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A slow-moving storm system dropped significant rainfall on most parts of Oklahoma today, causing isolated flooding but no major damage.

The 2-point-4-9 inches of rain that fell by 2 p-m in Oklahoma City was the highest single-day total this year in the capital city, and other parts of the state received more than four inches of rain.

But forecasters warn that Oklahoma still is well below normal in precipitation totals for the year and that drought conditions remain in the state.

Jennifer Palucki, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in Norman, says the only part of the state that didn't receive significant rain today was northwestern Oklahoma.

As of 2 p-m, Apache, in southwestern Oklahoma, had received the state's highest rainfall total on Sunday, at 4-point-1-5 inches. Vinita, in northeastern Oklahoma, had recorded 3-point-1-5 inches.

The heavy rain did cause some flooding and caused brief highway closures in Comanche, Grady and Oklahoma counties. All of the highways have been reopened.
