A 15 year old Broken Arrow boy riding in a charity bike ride was struck and killed Saturday by a semi truck in Wagoner County.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say 15-year-old Charlie Vogann died on impact.

He was one of hundreds riding in the MS 150 Push For The Cure event this weekend in eastern Oklahoma.

Vogann began his trek Saturday morning from Tulsa's Southcrest Hospital and was headed to Camp Gruber to spend the night.

The accident happened where State Highway 16 and 60th Street meet just south of Okay.

Vogann was on his way to Okay High School, where he and the other 600 riders were set to stop for lunch Saturday afternoon. Tour officials say this was the first fatality in the event's 21 years.

An investigation into the fatal accident continues.
