STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy says freshman linebacker Donnell Williams has been kicked off the team.

Gundy says Williams violated team rules and has returned to Houston.

Williams primary playing time came with the punt coverage unit and his departure means coaches will have to decide whether to take freshman linebacker Justin Gent out of a planned redshirt season.
