SNYDER, Okla. (AP) -- The police chief of the southwest Oklahoma town of Snyder says he's not stepping down because his wife is featured on an adult pornographic Web site.

Several residents in the town want Chief Tod Ozmun fired but Ozmun says his wife's actions don't affect his job and that she's a grown woman free to make her own decisions.

The residents wanting Ozmun fired packed a City Council meeting. The Council instead issued a statement saying Doris Ozmun has broken no laws and has the right to free speech.

Council member Sammy Gettens resigned after the Council took no action against Tod Ozmun, but Mayor Dale Moore says the chief isn't involved in the Web site and has broken no law.
