TULSA, Okla. (AP) The University of Tulsa decides not to sell alcohol during its home football games this season at Skelly Stadium.

TU athletic department spokesman Don Tomkalski says the issue serves as a distraction to the game and university activities and that university officials decided yesterday to remove the distraction.

He says alcohol still will be served outside the stadium during pre-game festivities.

The Golden Hurricane open the season Thursday at home against Stephen F. Austin.
