A piece of the past has touched down in Tulsa. A 1929 Ford Tri-motor airplane is touring the Midwest.

Tuesday, it flew into Jones Riverside Airport, where it will stay for a week. Called the Tin Goose, it was the world's first mass-produced plane and was the first to offer an enclosed cabin for passengers.

Pilot Cody Welch: "It's the airplane that started the whole commercial airline industry. This airplane had the first scheduled passenger flight, the first cargo flight. Ford Motor Company had the first terminal building for air travelers, the first hard surfaced runways. This is the pioneer for all commercial aircraft industries."
