OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ State Senator Kathleen Wilcoxson wants the state to consider scaling back plans for the state's centennial celebration and offer more assistance to hurricane relief efforts.

Up to$10-million has been proposed for centennial projects to celebrate Oklahoma's 100th anniversary in 2007.

Wilcoxson says she doesn't know why the celebrations can't be reduced and the resources directed toward hurricane relief.
