There is a way to beat high prices at the pump. It takes a little planning and effort, but it gets you where you need to go without filling up your tank.
More and more workers in downtown Tulsa are moving their morning commute to the bus stop. Riders say they relax while someone else battles rush hour traffic.
Special express routes now travel to and from Broken Arrow, with departure times fitting around a 9 to 5 job.
Bus rider Bob Cleaver: “every time gas goes up, I'm that much happier I'm riding the bus."
Bus rider Cathy Henson: “less wear and tear on your car and high gas prices, it's a good idea."
The express routes serve two church parking lots in Broken Arrow where commuters are welcome to leave their cars for the day.
