Rain slick roads Tuesday morning kept law enforcement busy across northeast Oklahoma.
Police and Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers responded to several traffic accidents, including one in Creek County that sent five people to the hospital. The wreck happened about 9:30 AM Tuesday just west of Bristow.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says three people in a Ford Escort hydroplaned on state highway 66. Their car smashed head-on into a Chevy Tahoe, injuring the driver and a small child in a safety seat. Two of the passengers in the Escort were pinned in the car, but crews were able to cut them out.
The OHP says the three passengers in the Escort were not wearing their seatbelts, while the two passengers in the Tahoe were buckled in.
