OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- State Treasurer Scott Meacham says rising gas prices aren't having much affect on the state economy.

Meacham says he sees little impact on the lifestyles of residents because they're learning to economize and says he'll know the price of gas is affecting the economy when car sales go down.

Meacham also says mineral owners, oil and gas companies and related industries are now flourishing because of the higher prices.
