A story that recently aired on the News on 6, concerned two women who stole a wallet, then went on a shopping spree. That story caused quite a stir.

The News on 6 heard from a number of other victims who say those two women have been on a major crime spree in the past six months.

News on 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright has the latest update.

The two suspects continue to work. Several Tulsa business owners says one of them acts as a decoy by asking a sales clerk for help while the other one slips into the back, usually near an office and steals a wallet she finds in a purse. Moments later, they find a reason to leave the store.

That's what happened at the Perfect Touch and before the employee could cancel her cards and checks; police say the two women had already been shopping at Wal-Mart. Des Bennett has gone on the offensive, she's posting the women's pictures and she's calling other stores to warn them. She's found 10 stores so far, who say they've been hit by the same ladies with the same scheme.

The women are in the stores for only minutes. They've been too fast for people to catch them, but they were caught on videotape and now, store owners hope those pictures will send these women to jail.

Debbie Hunter had been warned about the women, yet she says they worked so quickly and so smoothly, they still managed to snag her wallet. Debbie says she canceled her credit cards just moments before the women tried to use one at Target.

Others have not been so lucky, they say the women stole business checks at one store and cashed one for $10,000.
