HOLDENVILLE, Okla. (AP) -- The state Pardon and Parole Board will consider early release for more than 500 inmates when the board meets this week.

Among those asking for parole is a woman serving 20 years in prison for hitting another woman in the head with a tape dispenser. Patty Frank has served six years after being convicted in Tulsa County of assault with a dangerous weapon for hitting a loan officer with the tape dispenser.

A parole investigator is recommending Frank be released.

Investigators are also recommending release for James Clark, who's serving 20 years for beating his mother-in-law with a hammer and slashing her with a knife in 1991.
