OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ S-B-C Oklahoma has filed a lawsuit against the state Regents for Higher Education and its telecommunications program, claiming it's owed more than $2.5 million in unpaid bills.
The lawsuit was filed last week in Oklahoma County District Court.
SBC officials say they're owed the money for communication services provided for the public schools, colleges and universities.
The regents and its telecommunications arm -- OneNet -- have paid SBC nearly $16 million in the last four fiscal years. SBC spokesman Andy Morgan says SBC is still owed more than $2.5 million.
The petition contends the regents and OneNet have engaged in a pattern and practice of making only partial payments on the amounts properly due, allowing large balances past due to build up.
