Tulsa homicide detectives are trying to decide tonight if their key witness in a big murder case was killed to keep him from testifying at trial.
21-year-old George McKinney II was found shot to death yesterday.
He had testified last October against Robert Fellows and Phillip Summers.
That testimony helped ensure the two suspects would stand trial for murder.
They're accused of killing Ples and Shelley Vann, the parents of rival gang members.
Tulsa children found McKinney's body lying in some weeds in a field at at 1900 North Xanthus that borders an industrial area.
Police say this is a gang related shooting.
If you have information that could help police with this case, call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS.
