Cox Communications has asked the Oklahoma Supreme Court to overturn a state Corporation Commission ruling to deregulate SBC Communications from most price controls in the state.
Cox argues SBC did not provide sufficient evidence to justify deregulation. It also says there's no evidence deregulating SBC will result in lower prices and more choices for Oklahoma consumers.
SBC officials say the appeal is an attempt to delay the company's investment plans in rural Oklahoma.
