OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The father of a dog attack victim who is suing the animals' owners faces a negligence lawsuit himself.
Kristal Yelton filed her lawsuit in Cleveland County District Court, accusing estranged husband, Christopher Yelton, of not adequately supervising their 3-year-old son, Cody, before he was attacked.
Police say the boy was mauled by several pit bulls when he put his arm through two fences separating the Moore residence where he stayed with his father and a neighbor's property. The child lost the arm up to the shoulder.
Kristal Yelton has also named her son's grandparents -- Phillip and Patricia Yelton -- and the dogs' owners in the lawsuit. She's seeking damages of more than ten-thousand dollars.
Christopher Yelton's attorney -- Fred Shaeffer -- says he's appalled at Kristal Yelton's allegations.
Phillip Yelton says the accusations are unfounded.
