The cost of going to school at the private universities in Tulsa are going up and officials blame growing utility bills and health care costs.
Tuition hikes are in effect for Oral Roberts University and the University of Tulsa. Undergrads at ORU will pay 5.5 percent more, or about $830. That means just less than $16,000 a year at ORU.
TU students will pay nearly 7-percent more, for a total of about just over $19,000 a year.
Officials say the schools still charge less than the national average for tuition and fees at four year private colleges.
