An Owasso church plans to send a disaster relief team into Mexico, but their plans didn't start out that way. Freedom Church is packing up supplies to take on the trip.
They'll carry as many tarps and candles and as much food as they can to help people recover from Hurricane Emily. The trip was planned last year, but everything changed when the hurricane blew through this weekend.
Freedom Church Pastor Andrew Rankin: "this hurricane didn't catch God by surprise, back ten months ago when we were planning this trip, we knew this was the week we were to go, and so now this is what we're supposed to do now."
The church already has a few people in Cancun and by Wednesday they'll have 27 people there. All of them will stay at least a week.
