State superintendent Sandy Garrett held her annual state of education address Monday. Garrett addressed some 3,000 superintendents, principals and counselors at the Tulsa Convention Center.
She talked about vital tasks and serious issues facing educators in the 2005-2006 school year. "Today, you are under more pressure, budgets, test scores, teachers and improve physical health."
The conference continues Tuesday. That is when Garrett will announce the twelve finalists for Oklahoma Teacher of the Year.
