Movie theaters close in Woodward, Guymon

WOODWARD, Okla. (AP) -- A lot of moviegoers in northwest Oklahoma will have to travel further to see their favorite films at the theater.

Suburban Cinemas in Woodward and Guymon both closed down last week. The closest movie theaters to Woodward are in Fairview and Alva.

When contacted by the Woodward News, Suburban Cinemas owner Ron Funderburg did not elaborate on why the theaters were closed or if they would reopen any time soon.
