OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The Oklahoma Lottery Commission votes to hire an Oklahoma City law firm as its outside legal counsel.

Commissioners decided Tuesday that the Andrews Davis law firm will serve in the function and they approved paying Attorney General Drew Edmondson's office $26,000 for routine legal work.

Besides that, commissioners discussed drafting requests for advertising and audit firm proposals. They plan to approve the proposals at the next regular meeting August 9th or at a special meeting.

Lottery executive director James Scroggins also says he's working on getting lottery equipment at a discount. He is also choosing a television studio for filming lottery drawings.

The target date for the sale of instant lottery tickets is October 12th. Online lottery sales are planned for November.
