A Payne County judge has ordered a convicted Tulsa County killer to stand trial for a fatal stabbing at the Cimarron Correctional facility in Cushing.
32 year old Eric Johnson is charged with murder in the stabbing of Adam Lippert. The stabbing happened March 22nd. During a preliminary hearing, an inmate testified he saw 40 armed black inmates attack 20 unarmed white inmates in a recreation area of the prison.
Authorities have said all along the riot was racially motivated. Prosecutors say they may ask for the death penalty.
