A motorist involved in an early Monday morning traffic accident on the Broken Arrow Expressway did not die.

It happened around midnight Sunday just east of Sheridan. Tulsa Police had earlier said the driver died after he hit a wall and ended up in a grassy area where he was thrown from his vehicle.

The News on 6 has since learned from Tulsa Police that the driver is alive and in an area hospital. His name has not been released.
