JAY, Okla. (AP) _ A single-vehicle crash in Delaware County today has resulted in the death of an Oklahoma City teenager.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 17 year-old Janzen Todd Russom was driving north on a Delaware County road at a high rate of speed when his 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier left the road and hit a tree.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Russom was pinned for one hour and six minutes before rescuers were able to free him around 2:30 AM. He was taken from the scene northwest of Jay to Grove General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Troopers say Russom was wearing his seat belt.
