More than 300 oklahoma air natl guard members stepped off the plane and were welcomed home by family members and friends. They've been serving in southwest asia as part of operation iraqi freedom. The group with the 138th fighter wing finished a 45 day deployment arriving just in time for the 4th of july weekend and it makes the homecoming even more special.

David Overstreet: "Always coming home to see the family, that makes it all worth while. We like doing what we're doing but we love coming home."

Phillip Kaase: "Most exciting time alot to look forward too...celebrate the 4th with my family...independence day what we did there it describes everything."

Mike Marsh: "Proud to be an american, proud to be a fighter pilot proud to be from Oklahoma."

It was very touching to see such a warm welcome home for the military men and women.
One airman said it was nice to get home to cooler weather in Oklahoma, at least cooler compared to the middle east.
