TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- A preliminary hearing scheduled Friday for a former high school coach on four drug counts was moved to July 29.

Scott Moody, 38, was arrested in June in a steroid sting that involved several Broken Arrow High School students.

He was arraigned last month in Tulsa County District Court on charges of unlawful delivery of a controlled drug, failure to obtain a drug tax stamp, receiving proceeds from an illegal drug activity and possession of paraphernalia. Moody did not enter a plea then, and a judge entered a plea of not guilty.

Moody, who coached volleyball, basketball and golf at Tulsa Webster High School, could face up to life in prison if convicted.

Police allege Moody traveled to Mexico to buy anabolic steroids and smuggle them back across the border. He would travel there with about $6,000 to $10,000 and come back to sell those drugs for as much as $50,000, police said.

Moody was hired in 2004 as an Oklahoma history teacher at Webster, but his contract was not renewed. A Tulsa Public Schools spokesman said the contract decision was made prior to Moody's arrest.
