A Green Country school district has been forced to cut some positions.

The Bartlesville Board of Education has approved a temporary budget for the next school year. To meet the intent of newly approved state legislation, the budget includes funding for teacher pay raises.

Because of the added expenses, the district will cut some classroom assistants, playground and cafeteria aides, 6 secondary teaching positions, including a band teacher to balance the budget.
