Stormy weather rolled into the Tulsa area shortly after 1AM Thursday morning. And the storms were packing a lot of energy and lightning.

As the winds blew through so did the problems. Winds gusting up to nearly 70 miles per hour were recorded in the area, knocking down trees and limbs. That means another day of clean-up for some people as a result of the storms. No major damage is reported.

For weary AEP/PSO crews, the storm brought more outages with downed powerlines and poles. As many as 20,000 people were without power at the height of the storm overnight. Those were scattered throughout the area.

The storm also knocked out stop lights at a number of intersections. Some power has been restored and crews are working to get everyone back on line.
