MIAMI, Okla. (AP) Fairland Police Chief Clint Walker is being fined 85 dollars after pleading guilty to a public intoxication charge in Ottawa County District Court.
Walker was arrested early Friday by an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper and jailed in neighboring Delaware County so he wouldn't be in the same jail with people he had arrested.
Fairland Mayor Launi Cassinelli says Walker had been drinking at a bar across the street from the police department.
Walker was appointed police chief June second and is now suspended with pay. The City Council plans to discuss his case June 20th.
