Teen abduction and kidnapping ends with arrest

Midtown apartment residents watched in horror as an armed man kicked in their neighbor's door and abducted a Tulsa teen. The News on Six was there when police captured the suspect.

Police were called to 14th and Trenton around 7 PM Monday night to investigate the alleged abduction of a 14 year-old girl by a male acquaintance.

Officers say the 17 year-old suspect followed the girl home, tried to convince her to open the door and when she wouldn't, he became violent.

"I heard it, ran to my door, saw him catch the door with his hand and the railing and just kicking the door, just jumping up into the door with both feet at the same time, yeah he was pretty angry," said Sarah Arnold/Eyewitness.

After the suspect left with the girl, officers called her cellphone and convinced the suspect to go to his mother's house near 5th and Lewis. That's where he was arrested. He's in the Tulsa County Jail on a kidnapping complaint. His name has not been released. The girl was not harmed.
