OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- State lottery director Jim Scroggins says Oklahoma will have 3,500 outlets selling lottery tickets once the game begins later this year.

Scroggins told the Oklahoma Grocers Association that 80 percent of lottery tickets will be sold in grocery and convenience stores statewide and retailers will make about six percent on each sale.

The lottery is expected to offer scratch-off tickets in October and electronic tickets a few months later and a multistate offering such as Powerball by next year. It's expected to generate $150-million a year for education when fully implemented.
