It was a chance to meet some neighbors and raise money for a good cause.

The Northland Shopping Center at 36th Street North and Peoria was the site for an event called “NeighborFest", which raises money for the non-profit, "Neighbor for Neighbor". The festival featured food and artwork for sale and there was some good music too.

Tulsa Mayor Bill LaFortune says Saturday's event was about making friends in the community. “This is a friend-raiser not a fundraiser for Neighbor for Neighbor. It's a community friend-raiser and it's just a celebration of Tulsans and we get to see particularly the good works they do here."

Neighbor for Neighbor helps out needy Tulsans with food, medical care and housing.
